Many people believe that the words "exercise" and "fun" have absolutely no relationship to each other. They would be completely wrong about this in reference to exercise trampolines. As kids we loved jumping on trampolines, swinging from monkey bars and, even bouncing on the bed. Let's face it, kids know how to have fun, and they get good exercise at the same time. We really should get back to having fun while exercising and your rebounder is going to allow you to do that.
Rebounder exercise is the type of exercise that you get when you use a trampoline; it combines fun and functionality, and gives a fantastic workout. You can work out as gently or intensely as you like and it is super for your joints and muscles.
Balance is very important, so it takes some time to get used to exercising in this way. With some people it only takes a day, while others take as much as a week. But at least you have fun trying.
Wearing soft-soled shoes is recommended when exercising on a trampoline as this prevents injuries to the feet. But again, it depends on you as a person and if you prefer to have bare feet this is also fine.
Like all exercise, rebounder routines have tp start slowly, with more complex movements being added as you improve. Warm ups and cool downs are also important and gentle bouncing and walking movements on the trampoline will accomplish this.
Depending on your level of fitness, once you have done five or six different exercises, you will be sweating, but it is also pretty much guaranteed you will be smiling too - the perfect exercise combination. You can find many examples of rebounder exercises online. If you purchase your exerciser online it will more than likely come together with a series of different exercises for different fitness levels.
If you have difficulty with balance in the beginning, place your equipment next to a sturdy structure such as a wall. It should be within easy reach so you can reach out to touch it if you become unstable. Just a light touch will see you regaining your balance. Start off with low, barely imperceptible bounces and increase gradually till you are jumping higher, this is important to work the muscles correctly.
Warm up and go into some steady jogging to increase your heart rate, you will soon be doing, jumping jacks, the heel-toe bounce and more complex moves. But one thing that is guaranteed, you will get fit, and you will have fun doing this.
