In view of the massive demand for hair removal products, consumers do need to be a little careful when selecting items that make great claims.
Special note should be made of hair removal products that claim to be permanent. They can tend to be more expensive for a start.
It is commonly accepted that there are only two really permanent methods of hair removal and they are electrolysis and laser hair removal. Electrolysis is probably regarded as the more reliable of the two as each individual hair follicle is treated and disabled. This can be a time-consuming painstaking process.
The second method, laser hair removal has gained in popularity in recent years. It is cheaper than electrolysis and can treat hundreds of hair follicles in one sweep. Some consumers say hair regrows in some cases so it is wise to get a test done to see how the treatment reacts with you.
When you look at all the other hair removal methods such as shaving, using wax or sugaring preparations, depilatories, or hair inhibitors, the results can last from a few days to many weeks.
To avoid disappointment when considering various hair removal products, keep these two advice notes in mind:
Firstly, if you are tempted to spend a large amount of money on a particular hair removal product, be sure to check it out first on the internet. Consumer forums can be a very helpful medium in weighing up the effectiveness of a particular product.
If a product or company fail to deliver, you can be sure someone is complaining about it somewhere on the net. Just putting the name of the product or company into Google along with the word 'complaints' or 'problem' will reveal how the product is being received.
Secondly, make sure you have realistic expectations when it comes to the results you expect. It goes without saying that every human is a unique individual which means physical characteristics like condition of the skin, texture and color of the hair, rate of growth etc. are very special to that person. So a hair removal product that works wonders for one person may give poor or non-existent results with another.
While caution is certainly in order, we need to be careful not to go to the other extreme and downcry everything that claims to dramatically reduce unwanted body hair. I've seen some web pages that, although probably well meaning, basically assassinate a product or a company, labeling it as a scam, etc.
On investigation, I find the company being criticized is a reputable company, even offering a full money refund if their products don't satisfy for any reason. You can't get fairer than that. It would be a shame to be put off a perfectly acceptable hair removal product which may actually work for you, just by reading misleading information that presents it in a negative light.
In my book, if a company offers a money back guarantee and the company is well reported on, I will try the product and see if it works for me. If it doesn't, I just take advantage of the refund offer. So when you next search on the net for hair removal products, keep these guidelines in mind and simplify your task. You might just end up with exactly what you are looking for.
